Sept 18 & 19 was a warm and very windy weekend. No dinghy racing, but a chance to try out Stefan’s Hobie in strong winds, and a time to pull out some of the keelboats in spite of the low water levels.
Take your camera out sailing on Saturday, record your time on the water and take your best photo. Post to Instagram and tag @falconsailingclub for a chance to win a Let’s Sail t-shirt.
Prizes awarded for the longest sail and by draw from all photo entries! For those who don’t use social media, please email your photo and sailing time to firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday August 1 by 5pm. We will announce the winners Sunday evening. #letssailcanada #sail #sailforlife #sailcanada #GoSailing #SailMB
The weather cooperated with gentle winds on Saturday, so a number of members rigged their keel boats, dinghies and cats to do some sailing. We certainly kept our social distance!
We hope that there will be news this Wednesday about changes in the public health restrictions and approval to start organized races. We will see. Stay tuned for an update on plans for next weekend.
Thanks to Neill’s drone we have an amazing bird’s eye view of a couple legs from a race on September 5th.
